Description: This basket is so unique - woven on cane spokes that are inserted into a wood base, there is a plastic mold that will guide the weaving and remain on the inside of the basket. (Base with spokes already inserted will be provided so that students can begin weaving.) Students will weave with waxed linen and cane, but the fun really begins when students choose between a variety of chenille yarns provided to make a tapestry unique to their basket. Wire will also be offered to enhance the tapestry weaving. A unique rim will complete the basket. Your project will be 2-1/2"w x 8"h

Tools needed: Small container for water, awl, shears, a few clothespins, and sharp scissors that will cut waxed linen and yarn. *We strongly encourage you to have a second (smartphone) camera over your workspace for demonstration, questions, and problem solving. This greatly aids the instructor, as well as helping you. You can use the DIY camera stand*
