About this class
The Willow Shopper will teach students how to use willow in a large, rib-style basket. The class will focus on techniques to create a double rim for the willow frame, handle the material correctly, and work with ribs learning several skills to create the specific shape. A pair of flat-braided leather handles will finish the Shopper and make it ready for carrying groceries, books, and all kinds of storage.
This class is suitable for intermediate or willing beginners. Some experience with willow is helpful. Hand strength is very important.
