Description: Do you love designing with color and pattern? Do you love wearable art? Do you love minis? If you said yes to any of the above then this is the class for you! We will design and make 1-2 tiny baskets. You will have a chance to decide on size, pattern, color, and whether or not you’d like to wear your piece(s). We will choose to work with a mix of waxed linen, embroidery thread, and wool yarn to create our pieces. Participants will have a chance to choose their colors ahead of time and decide if they would like to make earrings, a necklace, or just baskets. We will use twining to create our baskets, relying on the variation of the threads to create patterns.
We strongly encourage you to have a second (smartphone) camera over your workspace for demonstration, questions, and problem solving. This greatly aids the instructor, as well as helping you. You can use the DIY camera stand, directions here.
