Basic Basket Techniques: Willow Trivet
Due to the expected interest in our July basic willow classes, we ask that you register for one and not both of them. These classes are for members only.
In this class students will learn basic willow weaving skills making a trivet/hot plate, similar to the photo. The size will be approximately12” L X 8”W. Students will use a premade rectangular template but how to make one on your own will be demonstrated. Come prepared for variable weather, as the class will be held outside. Please follow current state and CDC COVID 19 prevention recommendations.
Date/Time: Saturday, July 24, 10:00 am-4:00 pm (1 hour lunch break)
Location: Our Table Cooperative Farm, 13390 SW Morgan Rd, Sherwood, OR 97140, outside store.
Cost: Class fee $12 to register
Material fee: $35 due at time of class. Willow volunteers will be credited $7/hour for their volunteer time for material fee only.
Number of students: 12
Supplies needed: sunhat, sunscreen, sharp pruners, and knife
