Description: In this class you will make two willow garden structures – an obelisk and a trellis. Both will be made inside instructor-provided large (17” diameter) pots. Bring your own pot if you’d like to make a slightly smaller size. Sizes will likely range from 18” X 2’ to 18” X 6.’ Be sure to bring a vehicle large enough to transport your obelisks and trellises, either inside or on top of your vehicle.
At the end of class your obelisks and trellises will be removed for transport to your garden or another pot. The techniques learned will be waling and random weaving. Both dried/soaked/mellowed (brown) and fresh (green) willow will be used.
