Description: The Guild’s cedar bark (Thuja plicata) gathering is scheduled for Friday, May 23, 2025, 9:30am PT. This gathering is at Kalama Forest Products in Kalama, WA. These are cut trees.
Our partners in Kalama have shown remarkable support. Josh is our new Forest Manager. Please show your appreciation and bring a small gift– a small basket is suggested- thank you for any donation in advance.
You can get as much cedar as you can process that day. Processing means stripping sections from logs and then removing the outer bark.
Tools needed: Sharp knife, something to pry the bark off (pry bar, large screwdriver, etc.) Heavy gardening gloves. The weather should be nice. Bring WATER for drinking.
