February’s 4th Monday Mini Class: Seashells and Knotless Netting on a Gourd
In this class you will learn to weave knotless netting using waxed linen thread to a ready-to-weave gourd, lash wool yarn and seagrass to the rim, and embellish with predrilled seashells and beads. The gourd measures 4" to 5".
Registration is open to CBBG members only. Last day to register is February 10. You may cancel your registration and be refunded by February 10. Cancellations after February 10 are non-refundable.

Supplies needed: cordless drill, awl, scissors, needle nose pliers, and 4 to 6 mini craft clamps (available at Dollar Store)
Methods & skills: lashing, knotless netting, adding embellishments
Cost: $31. Material + shipping $25; $6 Guild fee. Fees include ready-to-weave gourd, waxed linen thread, wool yarn, seagrass, seashells, beads, drill bit, two tapestry needles, and Tiger Tape.
*We will use the DIY camera stand for demonstration, questions, and problem solving*
We ask participants to use their smartphone as a camera on their work, using a DIY camera stand. Full directions are online where you register. For the camera stand you will need:
A smartphone
Two tall bottles full (wine, Martinelli bottles, 2 liter pop, etc.)
Yard stick or other similar flat piece
Tape to hold the yard stick on top of the bottles
Rubber bands to hold the phone
A work light helps to get light on your weaving while under the camera.
