February’s 4th Monday Mini Class: Woven Hearth Heart
February’s 4th Monday Mini Class: Woven Hearth Heart
This woven Hearth Heart is a European traditional weave. Using black beard wheat and dried local flowers, seeds and leaves, we will create a winter wall piece to decorate our homes. We will use a simple plaiting technique to create the heart and copper wire to bind it. We will have a shared conversation about weaving with what grows near us as well. As we step more fully into this New Year we take a moment to craft something beautiful to honor the continued nourishment of our homes.
