Description: This lovely basket is a fun one to weave. Featuring a pocket shape, it is sturdy and can be displayed on a wall or door. Students will twine and reverse twine, twill weave, three rod wale with a reverse, and add rows of color. The rim has a band of purple on the outside with a dyed rim filler; it is lashed with waxed linen. Students will braid a cord to hand the basket with, then tie on artificial lavender accents. Your project will be 13”h x 10”w.
Tools needed: Bucket for water, awl, shears, pencil, measuring tape, spoke weight, a few clothespins. *We strongly encourage you to have a second (smartphone) camera over your workspace for demonstration, questions, and problem solving. This greatly aids the instructor, as well as helping you. You can use the DIY camera stand*
