In keeping with CBBG tradition, we will once again offer a holiday hands-on project at our November member online meeting.

We will weave an ornamental ball out of flat and round reed. Chris Bush will lead the class demonstration.

You will need to register by noon Thursday, November 3 in order to receive materials. Cost is $5 for US members and $15 for Canadian members; payment is non-refundable. This meeting is only for CBBG members.

When we get your registration, we will mail you the weaving supplies via USPS. Included in the fee are the flat and round reed and the jute rope; you will need to provide your own ribbon. You also will need scissors, clips, and water.

If you supply your own materials there is no charge to attend. But you must RSVP (ColumbiaBasinBasketryGuild@gmail.com) to get the meeting Zoom information. Here is what you will need:

• 4 - 3/8” flat x 20”

• 3 - 1/4” dyed x 18” (this can be flat or flat oval)

• 2-4 long pieces of # 3 round reed to total at least 30’

• 1 - 10” piece of thin rope of jute/hemp

• Ribbon of choice for decoration
