Description: Learn to coil using seagrass and waxed linen thread on the rim of a gourd, then drop down to the body of the gourd and cover it with knotless netting. Lash wool roving to the rim and embellish with pre-drilled seashells and beads. Kit includes: 5 - 5 1/2" gourd (metallic finish with matching interior), seagrass, wool roving, needles, drill bit, waxed linen thread, beading thread, 6/0 beads, Tiger tape, pre-drilled seashells.
Tools needed: Drill, awl, scissors, pencil, apron, small clamps large enough to go over the edge of the gourd and cord. *We strongly encourage you to have a second (smartphone) camera over your workspace for demonstration, questions, and problem solving. This greatly aids the instructor, as well as helping you. You can use the DIY camera stand*
