Description: This is an attractive small waste basket, 7"w x 11"h x 10"d, woven over a plastic form that can remain or be removed once completed. It is woven from a slotted wooden base, using both plaiting and twining varieties in both natural and dyed reed. A couple of rim choices will be given. Students will be encouraged to experiment with a variety of weaves to achieve a personal look.
Tools needed: Small spring clamps, knife, pencil, spray bottle, towel, dishpan or bucket for soaking materials, scissors or shears, needle nose pliers, tape measure, awl (short, packing tool). *We strongly encourage you to have a second (smartphone) camera over your workspace for demonstration, questions, and problem solving. This greatly aids the instructor, as well as helping you. You can use the DIY camera stand*
