Description: Students will weave over a clean mini gourd using red cedar as the spokes and weavers, along with 4-ply waxed linen cord (teacher will offer choice of denim blue or turquoise), and 0 round reed. Techniques taught will be twining, arrow twining, start and stop weave, a flip and fold rim, and making cordage for the necklace piece. Your project will be 2.5"h x 1.5"w x 1.5"d.
Tools needed: Spray water bottle, basketry shears or very sharp-pointed scissors, a sharp packing tool, tapestry needle, and small beads for embellishments. *We strongly encourage you to have a second (smartphone) camera over your workspace for demonstration, questions, and problem solving. This greatly aids the instructor, as well as helping you. You can use the DIY camera stand*
