In this class we will be weaving lavender wands, which are Victorian Era sachets originated in Provence, France. They can be described as freshly cut lavender flowers within a cage of their own stems woven with ribbon; dried afterwards; with a wonderful scent that lingers for many years.
The class will also include hints regarding the type of lavender best for wands, u-cutting in a very short harvesting season, and the necessity of using only fresh-cut stems. Students will make 1-3 wands.
