A study group of the Columbia Basin Basketry Guild
At our June meeting, Jim Tucker will be showing how he makes his gourd birdhouse/feeders and Master Gardener, Marti Farris will share her knowledge of gourd planters.
Jim uses a gourd called “people” gourds. Bring your own gourd in any shape you want to make your own birdhouse, feeder, or planter, or you can purchase a “people” gourd from Jim for birdhouses. The gourd does need to be thicker because of the nob drill bits used to cut the larger hole.
Cost
Room Rental: $5 (bring to meeting)
Material fees: Gourd from Jim $5 ea. Please notify Jane or Jim if you need to purchase gourds so he can have them available.
