Taylor Tupper resides in Klamath Falls where she was born and raised. She is an enrolled member of the Klamath Tribes.
After college in Kansas and in Eugene, Oregon, she returned home and took a public relations position with her tribe, thus starting a long her career in community and tribal relations.
As Public Relations Manager, Taylor coordinates tribal business for tribal government, programs, and communication to the membership. She works directly with the eight other recognized tribes in the State of Oregon and hundreds of tribes across the nation regarding tribal business. She is a member of the Native American Journalist Association, Oregon Tribal Tourism Working Group, Southern Oregon PBS Board of Directors, and longtime board member of the Klamath River Keepers.
When she is not at work for the Klamath Tribes or the other volunteer committees, she runs her own painted clothing business, Snowbird Originals. Snowbird (keys c’ik’as) in the Klamath language is one of two tribal names Taylor carries. Snowbird is her name given by the tribal elders when she was a teenager and is the name she uses as an artist. Thunder Horse (lamina wac) is her Indian name given to her by her father and represents her family heritage and true tribal spirit.
