March Zoom-in – 9 Classes in 5 Days!
On Day 3, March 16, we will have 2 class offerings. Students will be able to create a Knotless Netted Basket from Top to Bottom with Kathy Rousso, or a Diagonally-plaited Willow Bark Basket with Carol Horvath. NOTE: Select either of these classes. You cannot take both. Members only. See class listings below:
Knotless Netted Basket, from Top to Bottom with Kathy Rousso
Date & Time: Thursday, March 16, 9am – 4pm PDT
Location: Online via Zoom
Cost: $48 (Class fee is $48; student must supply materials)
Skill level: All
Knotless netting will be taught - simple figure 8 and other varieties as requested. PowerPoint to illustrate net bag making in Latin America.
Materials students must supply themselves: 1.8mm cotton cordage of any color (available at Fire Mountain Gems), or similar stiff cordage; 4" bamboo hoop (inside section of embroidery hoop or similar). Your project will be 4"w x 4"d x 4"h
Tools needed: Scissors, big-eyed blunt needle

Diagonally-plaited Willow Bark Basket with Carol Horvath
Date & Time: Thursday, March 16, 9am – 1pm PDT
Location: Online via Zoom
Cost: $62 (Class is $32; materials are $30)
Skill level: All
Learn to make a small (2.75"w x 2.25"w x 2.75"h) diagonally-plaited willow bark basket, choosing one of two color options. In addition to Zoom class, students will receive a Google Doc with written and illustrated instructions and a link to a YouTube video that explains border completion and final step.
Tools needed: Large bowl with water, spray water bottle, 8 very small (micro) clips, towel, ruler, pointed-tip scissors, small awl
