In this class we will use twining and optional reverse twining to create rosette earrings from 4-ply and 7-ply waxed linen thread. The finished size of the earrings will be between 3/4 and 1-1/4 inches in diameter, depending on how you would like to weave them. Kits will be mailed in advance with several color choices available. The kits include sterling silver-plated ear wires and findings as well as beading felt backing and a small tube of contact cement. The kits include enough materials to make up to 3 pairs of earrings. At least one pair should be finished in class, a second pair might be started, and materials for an “advanced” pair using 2 and 4-ply waxed linen thread is also included in the kit, to be woven later.

*Students are encouraged to use a workspace camera for demonstration, questions, and problem solving. * We ask participants to use their smartphone as a camera on their work, using a DIY camera stand. To see full directions, click here.

The last day to register is May 1, 2023. This also is the last day for refunds.

Waiting list: When the class is full, we will take names for a waiting list. Send your contact information and the title of the class to ColumbiaBasinBasketryGuild@gmail.com.
