Please come to Our Table Cooperative Farm (OT) in Sherwood to enjoy the beauty of the willow, the generosity of this beautiful farm’s owners, and working and visiting with willow friends old and new as you harvest willow.
In addition to having fun, the priority for this year’s willow harvest will be obtaining willow for the Guild’s March Jo Campbell Amsler willow basketry classes (more info about these classes here and here).
Harvesters (Guild members only please) will initially receive WILLOW BUCKS at the rate of $5/volunteer hour for each individual’s volunteer time.
WILLOW BUCKS can then be used as a credit toward either:
1. CBBG willow class material fees where CBBG/OT willow is used or
2. toward purchase of Our Table grown willow.
Willow will be sold the last hour of each harvest day unless weather dictates an earlier selling time.
After we’ve secured enough willow (maybe after the first 3-4 harvest days???) for Jo’s Guild classes, each harvester will have the option of receiving either half of the willow they harvest or WILLOW BUCKS. Please keep track of your own volunteer hours.

What to Bring: Please bring pruners and loppers, if you have them (if you don’t, the guild has a limited number). Wear your warmest clothes and bring warm gloves (insulated rubber ones are best), rain gear, hat, water to drink and a lunch or a snack, The Our Table Store is sadly no longer open. If you have a pad for sitting/kneeling or a stool, that may also be helpful but the guild also has some to share.
Rain/Snow/Ice Policy: If it is not safe for you to come, do not come. If the harvest needs to be cancelled, an email will be sent out. We will strive to give you notice of cancellations but they could go out at the last minute, so if the weather is questionable, please check your email before departing.
Dried willow for sale: Price is $10.00/pound for willow under 7’ and $7/pound for sizes 7’ and taller. Pay either by check or Venmo. No cash please.
Our Table Plot Location: The Our Table address is 13390 SW Morgan Rd., Sherwood, OR 97140. As you enter their long driveway leading to the now closed store the road forms a “T” in front of the store. Turn right and go past the hoop houses, composting area, a few rows of blueberries, all on your left. The plot has a chain link fence and is just past the blueberries. Some parking is available at the plot but if full, return to the entrance driveway in front of the store where there is ample parking. See you there!
There is no need to RSVP for harvest but feel free to contact us if you have questions, by emailing ColumbiaBasinBasketryGuild@gmail.com. To learn more about our willow plot, click here.
