Basic Basket Techniques: Beginning pine needle
$26.00

On zoom. 10am-noon, time to work on your own, then 3-4pm

This will be a technique class. We will probably not finish a basket. You will learn a start, how to add needles, a basic stitch and one or two decorative stitches. You will learn to add new weavers and how to space your stitching for best effect. We will also cover closed coiling as part of the design.

We will use the DIY camera stand for demonstration and questions and problem solving.

Your kit will contain a center, pine needles, waxed linen, a needle puller, and instructions .

Class fee is $6. Materials fee is $20. Total cost: $26. Registration deadline is November 6.

You will need on hand:

  • two to three needles to fit waxed linen; I prefer tapestry needles with a blunt tip.
