In this one-day class students will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of local basketry materials and fundamental weaving techniques. We will learn about the process of harvesting and processing local materials that can be easily gleaned from backyards or urban neighborhoods, while also having the hands-on experience of weaving a small vessel using plaiting and twining techniques.

What you will need: old towel, scissors or clippers, small clips (metal or wooden) clothespins, spray bottle, flat screwdriver or packing tool, small awl
Cost: $14 class fee and materials fee of $25, for a total of $39.
