About Your Teacher

Brittany Stanton is a textile enthusiast. She loves making things. And is a project addict. You could probably find at least five projects going on in her studio at any time. She began her journey in basket weaving and fiber arts at age ten and has been trekking that road ever since. Brittany is on a mission to make fiber arts and crafting accessible and easy to dive into.

From weaving baskets in the bathroom next to the bathtub as a teenager, hand cleaning pounds of wool in the backyard, spinning thousands of yards of yarn just to move on to a new project, and traveling around with an ever-growing assortment of tools and materials in tow, living as a textile fanatic is her way of life. Brittany has professionally designed & created several wedding dresses, sewn samples for a local pattern-making company, taught basket weaving classes, and currently runs a textile arts website called Textile Indie for the fiber arts enthusiast desiring all the information to begin basket weaving and other fiber arts.
